29 Apr Efficient Irrigation Systems
An incredibly efficient way to save water is with a drip system irrigation. Netafim is our high-end choice for much of this type of irrigation. Oftentimes, with a properly installed system, we can save between and 30-70% water savings.
Typical sprinklers can spray on your lawn as well as the sidewalk, driveway, etc., however, with a direct point system (the water goes directly where we point it) or a dripline with interval water points, we can ensure that the water gets to the roots of the plant, where they need it. With this focused approach, we see very little water loss due to evaporation, mist, surface runoff or wind interference.
This careful consideration of your landscape means your plants will get the water they need, stimulating their growth, reducing the risk of molds with wet leaves and saving as much as half of the water of an overhead irrigation system.
Please don’t hesitate with questions about how we can include such a system in your landscape plan. Next time, we will talk about how a Water Audit may be a good solution for finding out what plants will work and how we can help keep your landscape healthy with our expertise in lo-flow irrigation.
