About This Project

The existing 30 year old landscape needed a facelift. The client wanted a space where they could relax outdoors year round. In the front yard we created an open courtyard with a very effective fire feature where the client can sit and enjoy winter sunsets. Adjacent to the this lovely sitting area is a striking blue ceramic urn water feature that infuses a trance-like mood into this entry courtyard. A most successful blend of fire and water features.

The backyard is an entertainer’s dream. It tastefully incorporates all the features of Southern California outdoor living. A built-in kitchen/barbecue area, a dining area under the patio cover with hung outdoor heaters, a beautiful custom stone water feature, and a private lounge area with built in seating and fireplace where one can hang around for an after dinner drink or quietly sit and enjoy a good read while warmed by the fire.

The clients love growing vegetables and fruit, so we incorporated a vegetable garden in their side yard where berries grow on wine barrels. This project is tied together by the attention to details such as by the use of wall colors, tile, stone and upholstery choices on furniture and pillows.
